The Winners!
Winners of the public vote on the night:
#16 Spacebook(105 votes)
#10 Nom Inflate (72 votes)
#09 This Way Up (57 votes)
Thanks for casting your vote. All proceeds from the voting are to support the work Emergency Architects Australia are undertaking in Samoa and Tonga. (http://www.emergencyarchitects.org.au/) Nearly $1000 was raised.
Pip Cheshire (http://www.cheshirearchitects.com/) very kindly agreed to select projects of special merit. After 2 hours of trawling across and through sheds 12 + 5 and all 45 TRANS-FORM-ers projects Pip chose to give the following awards -
First prize: #10 Non Inflate
Runner Up: #09 This Way Up
And highly commended for "heroic failure"-
#35 Dynamic Folding
#38 Belladonna
#20 Stretch
These projects grappled with difficult architectural and design issues, and while they may not have fully resolved all of these they were ambitious in scale and the groups clearly learnt a great deal by realising the projects.
Congratulations to all of these students. Photos and videos of TRANS-FORM-ers coming soon, watch this space!

Weather Update
This just in, according to the latest forecasts we're in for fine and only 'cloudy spells', so we can confirm the convoy will be going ahead as planned this afternoon.
Don't forget to check out the route, which is leaving from 5pm today. Best of luck to all the groups, see you there!

Sponsor!
The Unitec students would very much like to thank New Zealand Window Shades Commercial for their generosity and help. We have been trying to upload their logo to this blog in the sponsors column for some time, but for some reason, that we don't understand, it will not load. Instead you might like to check out their website at http://www.newzealandwindowshades.co.nz/commercial-division.html
